Business Registration Agency operates within the Ministry of Trade and Industry and is the only responsible institution for registration of businesses in Kosovo.

 This agency has taken some reform of business registration procedures that reduce for one day the time of registration required for new businesses and also the combination of a single procedure for all registration steps.

 These reforms are an important step in the program of the Government for improvement of business climate in Kosovo and for other important benefits for both, local businesses and foreign investors.

KBRA operates based on an electronic database, as a simpler, faster process for free registration of new businesses which is realized through the connection with 22 municipal registration centers (with possible increase of their number) known as “one-stop-shop” solution with the main KBRA office.

 Current system had an impact on increasing transparency, and has increased standards and efforts to harmonize registration procedures with the European Union directives.

KBRA is a development oriented institution that provides achievement of higher efficiency with a higher quality for all economic operators operating in Kosovo.
